BEAUTY/RELIGION: Beautiful.

I began my day like every other one free from the early mornings that school brings. Sleeping to late, and then when I finally decide to face the early afternoon, I reach for my laptop. My first online stop of the day involves browsing my favourite blogs (I will tell you more about them another time) and stalking various tumblrs for inspiration. At some point during this hour or so, I stumble on Alexa Chung, Miranda Kerr and a bunch of other models numerous times. But no matter what the context, I seem to find myself once again confronted by the beauty of the Olsen's which these days, is even more ever appearing, considering now their sister Elizabeth is in the spotlight too.

The beauty of Mary Kate and Ashley has always astonished me. Even when I was a little girl did I wish to be them, be it influenced from their programme 'Two of a kind' or the clothing range they designed for Wallmart. Now, part of me still wishes to be like them. They seem so polished, pretty, and well, almost perfect. A huge mix of everything I feel I will never be, thrown in to a pair of beautiful twins that still seem to gracefully haunt over the fashion world. I know I'm certainly not alone in this craving to be this kinda of utterly spectacular and talented in every possible sense.  With this granted, I felt the need to once again confess my love for the designers of The Row & Elizabeth and James, and my desire to look like them. So I posted a status about it. And I have to say, I was honestly shocked by the people who liked it. For every single one of them I see as beautiful, wonderful people that hold no fault that should ever make them want to be like someone else. It really saddens me to realise that people only see the negitives in themsleves, rather then the overwhelming positives.

If some of you that know me well are now shouting at the scream for my utter levels of hypocracy and contradictiveness then I apologize. I understand that in saying all this to you, I have to understand that I'm beautiful to. It makes me feel somewhat fake to even write that statement, as to me it seems completely full of falsities. But it is in fact true. I feel strange again saying that, but I've got to get over that. Because I am beautiful, though not in a vain, self centred, photogenic way. But in a 'I am a child of God and created wonderfully way'.

And so is everyone one else. Every single person that reads this and makes some automatic comment to themselves that somehow excludes thems from the above statement - I know I'd do it too.
So before you go on about your legs, or teeth, freckles, or double chin. Remember this... without them you would not be beauitful. God created you to be beautiful, in the way you are sitting reading this now. I'm sitting typing with a bare face and greasy hair. And when I look in the mirror, I need to remember that I'm beautiful, I'm beautiful just like you.

Yes I want to look like Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, But I also want to look like me. And looking like the person you were made be is far more beauitful then trying to look like someone else.

BEAUTY: A morning burst, for the blog and my skin.

I'm expanding, ahhhhh! No, don't look at me like that...It wasn't some big trail of thought I've been pondering on for months and I haven't carefully selected what I thought would be the exact right time to tell all you lovely readers, I washed my face, its as honest, boring and simple as that. I'm going to start writing about beauty!
Its not like I'm going to change my name to "Holy Shiny Tightss" or anything, I mean  although beauty is a huge topic in its own right It almost comes under the wide umbrella of fashion so I reckon I'm pretty alright in leaving it as it is. To clarify, I'm no beauty expert, but as always I've an opinion and that's what matters.

Anyway, back to the washing of the face... I'm basically going to do a little ramble of a product I just bought and tell all of you who haven't already got bored or my new venture about my skincare regime, or well, current lack of one. Lets just say I'm blessed to have pretty good skin, I hardly ever get spots and its pretty  smooth. Before I turned 14 I did the works, I'd cleanse, tone and moisturise every night without fail. Then for some unexplainable reason I simply halted it, blame it to increased levels of laziness and a decreased level of actually caring about my skin, I did indeed take it for granted!

I decided today my skin was a little bit, well lacking. Lacking in what I don't know exactly but its worth a shot at a new product isn't it?

I bought 'Clean & Clear' Morning energy down to the highly scientific reason of it smelling nice. (it really does, its supposedly lemon and papaya but since I've never smelt a papaya I'm trusting the lovely, fruit smell is not entirely artificial) and although it may be 11 at night, I decided to give it ago. I really like it and I'd recommend it if you feel your face needs a bit of a brightening up or a burst of energy. its exfoliating enough to make you feel as though your making progress with your skin even after using it just once without over doing it like some exfoliaters that often make your skin feel quite dried out and sometimes even sore if the face wash itself quite strong and takes a deep cleansing approach.

Its definitely a product that will remain a regular fixture on my bathroom shelf, especially for the coming Autumn and Winter months that can really play havoc with your skin and leave it feeling every dried out.

hmm...I'm thinking "Holy Shiny Tightss" after all...until next time...

FASHION/BEAUTY: As beautiful as Coco

                                              Some things are just iconic.

.

Nothing ever stays the same & eventually everything you once knew will change. But simple beauty seems to last. You can create a grand sculptural masterpiece if you want, find an edge that's never been tried out before and yeah - it might sell. But will it be beautiful?

What's the point of Primark constantly churning out cheap clothes if none of them have been carefully thought through,  there the type of clothes that are made cheap and sold cheaper in order for the company to make a profit, They don't care how the end user looks and feels . But spraying this perfume makes you feel like a princess, its that little bit of everyday luxury.

Something like Chanel No.5 is beautiful. Its simple and elegant. clocks will tick and people will change. But you've always got this as a constant beauty to take comfort in - Fashion's about making things better.

"What do I wear in bed? Why, Chanel No.5, of course" - Marilyn Monroe
